Strong Assistance | China RoHS Mandatory National Standard GB 26572-2025 Formally Released

On August 22, 2025, the National Standardization Administration officially released the text content of China's first mandatory national standard GB26572-2025 "Requirements for the Restriction of Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Products" for RoHS. The new standard will be officially implemented on August 1, 2027 (with a 2-year transition period). At the same time, for products produced or imported before the standard implementation date, enterprises will be given a one-year inventory product consumption period, which means that inventory products can still be sold before August 1, 2028. This mandatory standard is a fusion and improvement of two recommended standards, GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment, and SJ/T 11364-2024, and will fully replace the recommended standard GB/T 26572-2011 and its first amendment.
