On September 25, 2023, the National Health Commission issued a notice including 85 national food safety standards and 3 amendment forms (Health Commission Announcement No. 6 of 2023), of which 17 standards involve food contact materials, covering 5 product standards (involving plastics, metals, rubber, composite materials, inks) and 12 method standards (involving migration rules, method validation rules, specific migration inspection methods, etc.).
The above five product standards have officially come into effect since September 6th this year, marking a new standard that must be followed by relevant enterprises. The specific standards are as follows:
