Strong Assistance | SVHC Candidate Substance Increased to 242nd Item, Triphenyl Phosphate Formally Listed as SVHC Candidate Substance

On November 7, 2024, the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) officially announced the inclusion of triphenyl phosphate (TPP) as a candidate substance for SVHC. The number of SVHC candidate substances has increased to 242.

The substance information is as follows:

Reason for proposal: Endocrine disruption characteristics (Article 57 (f) - Environment)

Usage: Used as a flame retardant and plasticizer, mainly for resins, engineering plastics, rubber, etc

So far, SVHC has a total of 242 confirmed substances, 6 evaluated substances (public consultation has ended, awaiting official final decision), 7 intended substances, and 1 undetermined substance (resorcinol).
